At this popular café and bar in Athens, the design concept draws inspiration from the establishment's brand color, a serene olive green, and the nearby metro train station and tunnel. The interior features a tunnel structure surrounding the kitchen/bar and WC, creating a cozy and enclosed space.
A second cylinder softens the area's edges and incorporates hidden lighting on the wall. A striking dark grey mirror on the rear wall reflects the cylinders endlessly, producing an illusion of spaciousness within the compact setting.
The ambience is further enhanced by adding curvaceous Spanish pendant lighting and geometric wallpaper with a large-scale pattern, introducing playful and dynamic elements.
The centre of attention in the space is a mounted round aquarium, which effectively separates the more private areas from the open front section, where passersby can observe. Notably, the bar area is illuminated by a unique lighting fixture crafted from three layers of translucent acrylic panels, with two plain-coloured layers sandwiching a honeycomb layer.
This innovative design contributes to the space's overall ambience and aesthetic appeal.
